Castle Peak Cebu

Castle Peak sits among the ridgelines above Cebu City, in the same upland belt as the city’s better-known viewpoints — high enough to catch the skyline and, on a clear day, the strait beyond it. It’s best worked into an early-morning or late-afternoon plan, when the haze that typically settles over the lowland basin during midday hours has either not yet built up or has started to clear, giving the sharpest look down toward the urban grid and the coast.

• There’s no entrance fee and the site is open daily, so it works as a flexible add-on to a longer highland circuit rather than a destination that needs its own trip.
• Bring water and sun protection — like most of the upland viewpoints ringing Cebu City, shade and amenities on-site are limited.
