Sandira Beach is a stretch of pale sand on Bantayan Island, set apart from the resort cluster around Santa Fe port and correspondingly quieter. The water stays calm and shallow well past the shoreline, backed by coconut groves that provide most of the shade — there’s little built infrastructure here beyond that. Like the rest of Bantayan, the surrounding economy leans on fishing more than tourism; dried fish from the island’s daily catch is a bigger export than beach visits.
- Wade into the shallow, calm water — good for a relaxed swim rather than serious snorkeling.
- Bring a picnic and set up under the coconut trees; there are no beachside vendors to rely on.
- Arrive early morning for the quietest stretch, before any day-trip crowds from Santa Fe show up.
