Mountain View Nature's Park

Mountain View Nature's Park is a family-run recreation resort in the Busay uplands of Cebu City, operating since 1970 at roughly 650 metres elevation, with swimming pools, gardens and overnight cottages built around a panoramic view over the city and Mactan Channel.

Type: parkEntrance fee: ₱100Hours: 8:00 AM–10:00 PM dailyBest time: Morning, late afternoon or sunset for the clearest city view

Overview

The park sits in the Busay highlands, a few degrees cooler than the city below. Sources disagree on how long it has operated: this file’s own description states 1970, which would put it well ahead of the Temple of Leah and Tops Lookout developments that now share the same Transcentral Highway stretch, but at least one independent travel write-up describes the park as having been around for roughly 20 years as of a 2022 article — implying an opening closer to the early 2000s — and credits its founding to the Lhuillier family rather than dating it to 1970. Neither claim was independently confirmed against a primary source this pass. It functions as a day-trip and overnight venue built around swimming pools, gardens, cottages and function rooms rather than as a pure viewpoint stop, which puts it in a different visitor category from its newer uphill neighbors even though the view is the shared draw.

Location

Busay, Cebu City uplands, on the Transcentral Highway corridor shared with Temple of Leah, Tops Lookout and Sirao Flower Garden.

Getting There

Roughly 30–40 minutes from Cebu City center by private vehicle, taxi or Grab, via the paved mountain road.

Practical Info

  • Entrance PHP 100 per adult; overnight accommodation available separately.
  • Weather-dependent — the mountain road and open-air facilities are less comfortable in heavy rain.
  • Large on-site parking.

What to Expect

An older-generation mountain resort — pools and cottages built for a full day’s stay — rather than the newer photo-stop model that Temple of Leah and Sirao Flower Garden further up the same road are built around.
