Michel's Garden

Michel’s Garden is a planted garden in Carmen, laid out in sections by plant type rather than as open parkland — flowering beds, fern groupings, and shaded walking paths built for a slow walk rather than any single feature. Carmen itself is a farming municipality on Cebu’s northeastern coast, and the garden reads more like a private cultivated plot than a municipal park.

• Walk the paths in order rather than cutting across — the sections are planted to be seen in sequence.
• Birds are common in the quieter corners in the early morning, worth a slow pass if you’re carrying binoculars or a camera.
• Go early. Shade cover is limited in parts, and the light is better for photos before the sun is directly overhead.
