Tongo Point

Tongo Point, off Cebu’s southwest coast near Moalboal, is a snorkeling and diving site known for good underwater visibility and coral walls holding a dense range of reef life. Sea turtles and schools of reef fish are a regular sight along the formations, and the site stays accessible to a range of skill levels — the shallow reef flats are workable for snorkelers, while the drop-offs give divers more to work with. Moalboal’s marine tourism economy runs on sites exactly like this one, and the local boatmen and dive guides who bring visitors out here depend on the reef staying healthy, which is worth keeping in mind: no standing on coral, no touching the marine life, and reef-safe sunscreen if you’re using any at all.
