Durano Eco Farm sits in Barangay Corte, Carmen, on Cebu’s east coast about two hours north of the city by road. The draw is a series of spring-fed pools terraced down the property, cut into stone and fed by water straight off the mountain rather than pumped or chlorinated, shaded by tree cover thick enough to keep the afternoon sun off the water.
- The terraced spring pools step down in tiers, each one cooler than the last as you move further from where the water surfaces.
- Bamboo cottages and treehouses are available for an overnight stay, a step up from the day-trip crowd that clears out by late afternoon.
- Trails through the property’s gardens work for a light walk before or after swimming — nothing technical, mostly flat groundcover paths.
