Blue Hole Tuburan is a sinkhole pool set back from the coastal road, cut into the limestone that makes up most of Cebu’s interior. Groundwater fills the cavity and settles into a deep blue that holds through the day — depth accounts for the color more than anything in the water itself. Tuburan’s economy runs on farming and coastal fishing rather than tourism, so the pool sees more residents from nearby barangays than outside visitors, especially on weekends.
- The water stays cool from one end to the other, fed by groundwater rather than surface runoff, and the deep section is worth the swim over a shallow wade near the edges.
- Tree cover around the rim keeps the light workable through mid-morning, useful if photographing the water rather than just standing beside it.
- Weekday mornings are the quiet window — locals fill the pool on weekends before outside visitors typically arrive.

South Cebu is the island's adventure-and-heritage coast — the Oslob whale sharks, the Kawasan canyoneering, the Moalboal sardine run, and the Spanish-colonial towns along the southern road.
