Santa Rosa de Lima Daanbantayan

Santa Rosa de Lima parish sits in the town center of Daanbantayan, Cebu’s northernmost municipality — the same jump-off point most travelers pass through on the way to Malapascua Island’s ferry port at Maya. As the poblacion church, it functions as the everyday parish for a town whose economy runs on fishing and the ferry traffic feeding Malapascua, rather than as a heritage stop in its own right.

For most visitors this is a drive-through rather than a destination: worth a look if the schedule includes a Mass or a fiesta, otherwise a landmark for orientation on the way north.
