Kambais Falls drops in two tiers through the limestone hills above Alegria, part of the karst terrain that riddles south Cebu with caves and waterfalls between here and neighboring Malabuyoc. Both tiers feed pools deep enough for swimming, and the upper tier has a rock ledge locals use for cliff jumping — worth checking before committing, since water levels shift with the season. The short trek in runs through secondary forest rather than open trail, so expect some shade and undergrowth instead of a groomed path.
- Swim in either tier’s pool; the upper one is deeper and better suited to jumping.
- Check the rock ledge and water depth with a local before jumping — conditions change with rainfall.
- The short jungle approach has some undergrowth; sturdy shoes are more useful here than sandals.
