Kabang Falls drops into a swimming basin in Cebu’s central highlands, terrain shaped by the same limestone karst geology responsible for most of the island’s waterfalls and sudden elevation changes. The upland barangays around here still farm corn and root crops on a small scale, with waterfall tourism only recently becoming a secondary source of income for some households.
- The main basin sits off the primary tourist circuit, which keeps crowds thinner than at better-known highland falls.
- Trees around the falls provide shade for a picnic, with the sound of the water covering most of the surrounding forest noise.
- Wear shoes with real grip — the trail in gets slippery, and the rocks around the pool are uneven underfoot.
