Cebu Kartzone

Temporary motorsport venue hosting karting and racing events.

Type: activity

Cebu Kartzone sits in Mabolo, a short ride from Ayala Center Cebu and Cebu IT Park, which makes it an easy add-on to a day already built around uptown Cebu City. It’s a dedicated go-karting facility rather than a fairground ride — a purpose-built track, not a rented lot with a couple of karts on it.

The track runs SODIKART equipment, karts built by the French manufacturer that supplies circuits internationally — a step up from the locally-assembled karts found at smaller Philippine tracks. Single-seaters handle solo laps; twin-seaters let a parent ride with a younger child or let two people share a run. The SODI RX8, the higher-performance model in the lineup, is there for drivers who’ve outgrown the standard karts.

Every driver sits through a briefing video on track rules, kart handling, and flag signals before getting on the grid — standard practice at a facility that takes liability seriously — and height and age limits are enforced rather than suggested. Motorsport is a small industry in the Philippines outside a handful of circuits, and dedicated karting tracks like this one are still uncommon enough in the Visayas that Kartzone draws corporate groups and birthday parties as much as solo racers chasing lap times.

Lockers cover the basics. Beyond that, it’s a bare-bones facility built around the track itself rather than a resort-style leisure complex — which is the point for anyone coming specifically to drive.
