S/V Master’s Dragon Peak sits in the hills above Sibonga on Cebu’s southeast coast, one of a growing number of private hillside plots in southern Cebu converted from farmland into paid viewpoint parks — a model that took hold in the Busay uplands north of Cebu City and has since spread down the island’s mountain spine. The park’s central feature is a concrete dragon sculpture built as a switchback staircase along the ridge, doubling as both the climb and the photo backdrop, with cloud settling over the valley below common at this elevation on most mornings.
- The dragon staircase is the main structure on-site and the reason most visitors make the climb.
- Views run out over Sibonga’s coastal lowlands toward the sea.
- Cloud and mist are common at this elevation, especially early — factor that into photo plans.
