Sugar Beach sits on the Santa Fe side of Bantayan Island, the town that also holds the island’s main ferry terminal and, as a result, its densest run of beach resorts. The sand carries the same fine, pale character as the rest of Bantayan’s coralline shoreline — a product of the island’s limestone base rather than any particular polish — and the water stays shallow and calm close to shore.
- Being minutes from the ferry pier makes this stretch the most convenient Bantayan beach for a short trip from Cebu.
- Resort density here is the highest on the island, so expect more built-up shoreline than the quieter stretches near Bantayan town.
- Sunset faces the open sea, making the beach bars along here a reliable spot for it.
