Aguinid Falls sits within the limestone karst belt that runs through southern Cebu, the same geology that produces the area’s other tiered waterfalls — Kabutongan, Inambakan, and the better-known Kawasan system further along the coast. Getting through it means climbing, scrambling, and swimming across several distinct levels rather than viewing a single drop from a platform.
- The trek involves climbing wet, slippery limestone rock, so water shoes aren’t optional here.
- Each of the falls’ several levels has its own swimming hole, with rock ledges at a few of them for jumping.
- As with most falls along this coast, guiding and entrance fees run through the barangay — arriving early in the morning also means fewer people in the water.
