The Ronda Coastal Circuit is a quiet, uncrowded route along Cebu’s southwestern coast. The municipality of Ronda sits about 79 kilometers from Cebu City (roughly a two-hour bus ride), positioned along the western highway between Dumanjug and Alcantara, a short drive north of the diving hub of Moalboal.
The town offers white-sand coastline, a marine sanctuary, and green interior landscapes. Ronda Wharf serves as the coastal anchor point, while inland the town has Lusno Falls and Lapnis Spring for freshwater exploration, and Cambuang Hill for hiking and viewpoint scenery. The annual Ligo Kasadya Ronda festival showcases local parades, music, and dance celebrating the town’s heritage.
Like most of Cebu’s southwestern coast, Ronda’s economy runs mainly on small-boat fishing and farming rather than tourism infrastructure, which is precisely why the town stays overlooked by travelers moving straight through to Moalboal. That also means visitors should expect fewer formal tour operators and more arrangements made directly with local boatmen or barangay contacts for the wharf and falls.
