MIMAROPA (Region IV-B) is an archipelagic region comprising the provinces of Mindoro (Oriental and Occidental), Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan. It forms the southwestern maritime frontier of the country. While Palawan (Puerto Princesa, El Nido, Coron) is its most internationally recognized destination, the region as a whole serves as a transition zone between Luzon and the Visayas. Reference stub.
