Masbate is an island province that geographically and culturally bridges Luzon and the Visayas. While administratively part of the Bicol Region (Region V), it sits in the center of the archipelago, bounded by the Sibuyan Sea and the Visayan Sea. The island is known for its rolling hills, cattle ranching (highlighted by the annual Rodeo Masbateño), and its transitional language and culture, which heavily features Visayan influences.
For Cebu and Bohol travellers, Masbate lies to the north across the Visayan Sea. It is a reference stub within the current site scope.
