Caraga (Region XIII) is the northeastern region of Mindanao. It is heavily forested (the Agusan Marsh and interior timberlands) and features a long Pacific coastline. The region includes the provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands. Butuan City is the regional centre.
