CALABARZON (Region IV-A) is the most populous region in the Philippines, acting as the industrial and residential overspill south of Metro Manila. The name is an acronym for its five provinces: Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. Batangas Port is a critical passenger and ro-ro hub connecting Luzon to Mindoro, Romblon, and the Visayas. The region is heavily touristed by domestic travellers (Tagaytay, Laguna hot springs, Batangas beaches). Reference stub.
