Naga Boardwalk

This boardwalk runs along reclaimed shoreline, part of a wider pattern seen up and down Metro Cebu’s coast over the past decade — local governments turning reclaimed land into public promenades rather than leaving it to private development, which is roughly how this stretch came to exist. Like most reclaimed-shoreline boardwalks in the region, the tradeoff is a hardened edge in place of natural shoreline: good for accessibility, lower habitat value than what it replaced. Otherwise it keeps things simple — paved walkway, lighting, benches — and that restraint is the point: an evening walk with the sea breeze, not a manufactured attraction.

• Snack stalls run along the landward side; expect grilled skewers and cold drinks rather than a food court setup.
