Liloan Port Viewpoint

Guide to Liloan Port Viewpoint in Cebu, Philippines.

Type: mountain-peakEntrance fee: FreeHours: Open dailyBest time: Morning or Late Afternoon

The viewpoint sits above Liloan’s port, worth the stop on its own: this is where the ferries load for the crossing to Sibulan on Negros, one of the shortest inter-island runs in the Visayas at under half an hour. From the bluff, the strait opens out in both directions — Negros’ coastline visible on a clear day, ferries and outrigger bancas crossing paths below. The nearby Bagacay Point Lighthouse, still an active navigation aid for vessels working this channel, makes a natural second stop.

  • Time a visit around ferry departures for the best view of vessels crossing the strait.
  • Late afternoon brings the clearest light and the coolest temperatures for the short walk up.
  • Combine the stop with Bagacay Point Lighthouse, a five-minute detour along the same road.
